Bill Smith - maker/crafter

Bill is an engineer by training and an artist at heart. He is a tinkerer and loves to fix and make things by hand. Soapmaking was one of many hobbies but because commercial bars of soap made his skin uncomfortable and itchy, he continued to learn more and experiment with different formulas of oils. He loved the skin friendly benefits of an olive oil-based soap but added other oils to get a great lather and a bar that will last longer in the shower.

Once he had the perfect formula for a great bar of soap – the fun began as he could concentrate on a variety of scents and colorants for a bright and bold smell and look. Making so much soap that he gave pounds of it away each year, friends and family urged him to sell it as it was such great soap.
